What is the wireless network and password at CIC?

You can use either the "CIC" or "CIC-A" network and there is no password. To ensure your communication is secure and private, use only encrypted "https" websites (most are). You are also welcome to use the "CIC-Encrypted" WPA2 network, password "fix the world through innovation" (with spaces) but please be aware that this does not provide added privacy versus a skilled hacker.

Can I have a phone in my private Office space?

Yes, each employee in your office can have his or her own phone line. Please just let us know if you'd like for us to set one up.

Can my phone be forwarded?

Yes, once you get your phone, you will be able to quickly and easily forward your calls right from your handset.

Why isn't my Polycom phone working?

The first thing you should check is the port your phone is plugged into. Also, check to make sure the DND - Do Not Disturb - button is not pushed. If you're still having trouble, let us know and we'll help get it resolved.

Can I have more than one phone?

Yes, if you need more than one phone line, please let us know. However, you will incur additional charges for having additional phones.

Is there a fax machine?

There is a fax machine (number: 314.533.0477)  located in the CIC Team Room. Directions for sending a fax are listed behind the fax machine on the wall. Please note that while the CIC Staff will notify you of incoming faxes, this machine is not accessible outside of regular business hours.

Can I use the CIC printers?

Yes, please do! You have unmetered access to all of the printers on the floor. Please be respectful of what and how much you are printing, as these are all shared resources.

How do I connect to the CIC printers?

Directions for printer installations can be found at printing.cic.us. If you need additional help, please email us at helpmecet@cic.us and we will get you setup.

Are there copying/scanning capabilities?

Yes! All of our copiers have copying and scanning capabilities.

Where are my copies?

Each print station has trays for stray copies that are labelled with the days of the week. These trays are emptied as noted. To be a good steward of our shared resources, please check that your copies are not in the trays before printing a new copy!

Can I have an external IP address?

Yes! CIC's Tech Team can get these setup for you. They require a $75 setup fee, and a $25 monthly maintenance fee per IP address.

Can I host my servers at CIC?

Yes, however, external addresses and additional setup are required.
